Tapping Embroidery
Tapping Embroidery is a modern embroidery technique that originated with the Tajima embroidery machine in Japan. This method involves threading ribbons through a nozzle and securing them onto fabrics using fish thread, creating intricate three-dimensional designs. Tapping Embroidery is categorized into two types: independent and simplified versions. As a specialized computerized technique, it enhances the capabilities of traditional flat embroidery machines, allowing for more diverse and vibrant presentations in embroidered products.
Independent tapping embroidery machines can perform various needlework techniques such as winding embroidery, ribbon embroidery, and cord embroidery. They typically use 15 different sizes of ribbons ranging from 2.0 to 9.0 mm in width and 0.3 to 2.8 mm in thickness. In our products, it is commonly used for women’s T-shirts and jackets.
